The Lab

Led by a certified examiner, structured for the cases that matter.

NEXURA is not a walk-in repair counter. It is a technical analysis lab built to handle critical media, produce defensible documentation, and support business, legal, and insurance decisions.

Qualifications & Certification

  • Certified Forensic Examiner (CFE) — internationally recognized qualification in digital forensic analysis.
  • 4 years of dedicated experience in data recovery and digital forensics, with prior background in software development, infrastructure, and systems.
  • Full forensic toolset — FTK Imager, EnCase, Autopsy, Cellebrite, hardware write blockers, dd/dcfldd, proprietary analysis tools, and custom scripts.
  • Court testimony experience — expert reports and appearances before federal and provincial courts.

Sector Experience

  • Healthcare — medical records, clinical systems, compliance with health information protection requirements.
  • Law firms — evidence preservation, chain of custody, litigation-ready reports.
  • Businesses & SMBs — incident response, internal investigations, business continuity.
  • Insurance — digital loss assessment, documentation for claims.

Operational Standards

  • Documented chain of custody — every piece of media is logged, photographed, and handled with full traceability from intake to return.
  • Professional liability insurance (E&O) — active coverage for technical and forensic engagements.
  • Law 25 compliance — minimal collection practices, encryption in transit, controlled destruction after delivery.
  • Structured reports — deliverables designed to be read by decision-makers, lawyers, or adjusters — not just technicians.

What Sets a NEXURA Engagement Apart

Most labs recover files. NEXURA also handles cases where recovery alone is not enough — when you need to document, preserve chain of custody, produce a report defensible in legal or insurance contexts, or testify if required.

Every case is treated as if it could end up in court. That discipline is what separates a certified lab from a repair service.
